Job Description Description We are seeking an experienced Team Lead - DBA to oversee our database administration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our database systems. Responsibilities - Lead and manage a team of Database Administrators to ensure optimal database performance and availability. - Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - Conduct regular database maintenance activities such as upgrades, patches, and performance tuning. - Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and application performance. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs and promote best practices in database management. - Prepare documentation for database architecture, processes, and procedures. Skills and Qualifications - 6-10 years of experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. - Strong knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques. - Experience with database backup and recovery solutions, including RMAN and log shipping. - Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures. - Familiarity with cloud database solutions such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
