Position Overview

Atlan is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our growing legal team. This is a critical role supporting a wide range of legal functions, including contract management, legal research, compliance, and intellectual property matters. As part of our vibrant and diverse global legal team, you will be functioning across multiple time zones (specifically between 8 pm IST and 5 am IST) to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our legal department, enabling Atlan to continue its rapid growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and innovative tech company.

What will you do

- Legal operations: Management of our CLM system, access to users, updating templates and assist with reporting of analytics of our contracting patterns to be reported the leadership.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. Summarize research findings and provide clear and concise reports to legal counsel.
- Contract support and management: Assist in the drafting, review, and management of various legal agreements, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and customer contracts. Maintain an organized contract database and track key deadlines and obligations.
- Compliance Support: Help maintain a compliant environment by proactively identifying and addressing regulatory changes.
- Intellectual Property Support: Assist with IP filings and management of the portfolio as required.
- Litigation Support: Assist with litigation matters, including gathering documents, preparing legal filings, and coordinating with outside counsel.
- General Legal Support: Provide general administrative and legal support to the legal team, including managing legal invoices, scheduling meetings, and preparing presentations as required.

- Experience with using technology for legal solutions is a plus.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as per provided instructions and supporting the team as required.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
- Experience with intellectual property law is a plus.
