What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

The Assistant Manager for Integrated Risk Management Manager (IRM) will be responsible for leading process improvement initiatives within the Tech anR-94654d Cyber Risk and Control IRM COE. This role will collaborate with global business units to assess their Risk and Control processes with the objective of re-engineering them to align with industry best practice. Central to the role will be the ability to assess business outcomes and, working with the IRM Product specialists and using your own product knowledge, mapping them to the Unilever capabilities with minimal customisation of tooling.

The role is responsible for maintaining general oversight of the full configuration of the IRM product, triaging enhancement requests and ensuring and changes to the platform do not cause conflicts with the existing build or have the potential to block future user cases.

The role demands strong analytical capabilities, problem solving, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for driving excellence in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Redesign & Optimization
- Partner with leaders to understand their business requirements and the relevant outcomes to re-engineer and streamline control processes using data-driven insights and industry best practices.
- Support the business in their development and maintenance of detailed process maps, playbooks, and documentation to support standardized and scalable operations.
- Facilitate workshops and process improvement sessions to identify inefficiencies and potential synergies in their business processes
- Use their SME knowledge of Unilevers IRM tooling to identify opportunities to adapt business processes to capabilities, ensure synergies are achieved and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Requirements Validation & Reporting
- Validate business requirements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with Unilevers risk and compliance frameworks.
- Prepare and present process enhancement reports and validated requirements to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with Unilevers control standards.
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process efficiency and risk mitigation effectiveness.
- Analyse process performance data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actionable changes.
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools to monitor progress and impact.
- IRM (Integrated Risk Management) Configuration
- Act as the interface between business stakeholders, IT, and Risk/Compliance teams for platform configuration and optimization.
- Assess change requests for impact to existing use cases and support the FDA in reviewing and approving them.
- Work with Tech Implementation/Support team to configure and maintain ServiceNow IRM (or equivalent GRC tool) platform as per business needs, assuring platform stability, usability, and compliance.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as a primary liaison to ensure clear communication and alignment between business, IT, and risk/compliance functions.
- Communicate process changes, requirements, and platform updates effectively across all levels.
- Project & Team Coordination
- Lead or coordinate small project teams, delegating tasks as necessary to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practice adoption.
- Lead process improvement initiatives for Risk and Control processes, partnering with business leaders to redesign and optimise workflows using data-driven insights and best practices

What You Need To Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications

Must Have

- Minimum: 8+ years experience in process design, business transformation, or risk/compliance roles within a global organization
- Hands-on experience configuring ServiceNow IRM or similar GRC platforms
- Experience in process improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma), process mapping, and documentation
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Strong analytical thinking: ability to interpret data and prepare reports
- Strong organizational and time management skills, adept at managing multiple priorities
- Effective communicator, able to engage cross-functional teams
- Collaborative, proactive problem-solver, adaptable, and eager to learn

Highly Preferred

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in IRM (Intergrated Risk Management)
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma or related methodologies Experience supporting compliance and risk management initiatives
- Familiarity with other GRC platforms; experience with dashboard/data visualization tools; project management tool proficiency
