Through the IIT Bombay Educational outreach team, the Institute engages with alumni, corporates, and philanthropists to strengthen partnerships, foster innovation, and support its vision of global excellence. Role Overview : We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager – Corporate Relations to grow IIT Bombay’s executive education and certificate programs through strategic partnerships and industry engagement. This role requires someone who can balance short-term results with long-term relationship building while positioning IITB as a trusted partner in executive learning. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute strategies to establish new corporate partnerships for executive education and training programs. - Generate leads, conduct client meetings, and achieve revenue targets. - Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate clients and continuously explore new business opportunities. - Identify, pitch, and close B2B opportunities for customized learning solutions, certificate programs, and executive development courses. - Manage end-to-end business development lifecycle, from prospecting to closure and account growth. - Work closely with academic and program teams to align offerings with industry requirements. - Ensure revenue generation through effective negotiations, client retention, and repeat engagements. - Track, analyze, and report on business development performance metrics. - Should be a multi-tasker and can manage both B2B & B2C in case of CEP courses Desired Experience/Skills : - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, IT, or a related field. - At least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Relations, or Strategic Partnerships, preferably in the EdTech / Executive Education sector. - Proven track record of revenue generation and B2B client conversions. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. - Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities. - Positive, proactive approach with a problem-solving mindset.
