What you will do - To develop annual sales plans, set achievable targets for the team, and regularly track performance. - To study competitors, customer needs, and market trends to design effective sales strategies. - To explore new markets, industries, and customer segments for business expansion. - To ensure consistent lead generation through digital platforms, industry events, references, and networks. - To plan and manage marketing activities such as digital promotions, exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events. - To develop sales materials like brochures, presentations, and promotional content in coordination with marketing vendors. - To oversee website updates, social media presence, and overall brand visibility. - To guide the team in qualifying leads, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing orders. - To maintain a healthy sales pipeline, track follow-ups, and provide support in finalizing major deals. - To build long-term relationships with customers and personally handle key accounts or major opportunities. - To address escalations, ensure timely communication, and drive high customer satisfaction. - To maintain complete documentation of proposals, negotiations, customer communication, and transaction history. - To ensure all sales operations follow company policies, price guidelines, and ethical practices. - To ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to operations for further execution. - To coordinate with operations and design teams to ensure an accurate understanding of customer requirements. - To support the internal teams with clarifications needed for pricing, feasibility, technical inputs, and timelines. - To keep customers updated throughout the order execution process. - To lead and mentor the sales and marketing team, helping them improve skills, confidence, and performance. - To conduct regular reviews, support them in meeting targets, and maintain a collaborative work environment. - To ensure discipline, follow-up culture, and result-oriented behavior within the team. - To prepare regular sales reports, MIS dashboards, and target-vs-achievement updates for management review. - To monitor KPIs such as order booking, conversions, pipeline health, and customer acquisition. - To identify process gaps, improve the sales cycle, and introduce better practices where required. - To contribute to strategic initiatives that support long-term growth and brand positioning. What you need to bring - A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial, and an MBA will be an added advantage - 8+ years of Sales and Marketing experience in B2B manufacturing - Having skills such as Good Communication, Team Management, Customer relationship building, negotiation, Conflict resolution, Integrity & discipline, Customer handling, and Collaboration will be of great help to you in your journey.
