Job Description

1. 1. Vendor Recruitment and Onboarding

- Sourcing and recruiting qualified vendors for various language pairs and services (e.g., translators, reviewers, DTP specialists).
- Managing the onboarding process, including training on company tools, workflows, and quality standards.
- Maintaining an updated vendor database with complete profiles (skills, rates, availability, etc.).

2. Vendor Relationship Management

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and quality.
- Addressing vendor concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensuring vendors feel valued and engaged with the company.

3. Performance Monitoring and Quality Control

- Assessing vendor performance using metrics like quality scores, timeliness, and feedback from projects.
- Providing constructive feedback to vendors to improve performance.
- Managing vendor evaluations and removing underperforming vendors when necessary.

4. Rate Negotiation and Budget Optimization

- Negotiating competitive yet fair rates with vendors while adhering to project budgets.
- Monitoring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

5. Vendor Allocation and Scheduling

- Assigning appropriate vendors to projects based on expertise, availability, and client requirements.
- Ensuring timely vendor availability for urgent and long-term projects.

6. Compliance and Documentation

- Ensuring vendors sign and adhere to NDAs, contracts, and company policies.
- Maintaining accurate records of vendor agreements, certifications, and compliance documents.

7. Collaboration with Internal Teams

- Coordinating with project managers, account managers, and QA teams to align vendor selection with client needs.
- Communicating vendor-related updates to internal stakeholders.

8. Technology and Tools

- Utilizing vendor management systems (VMS) or localization platforms effectively.
- Keeping vendors informed and trained on the use of new tools or technologies.

9. Crisis Management and Problem Resolution

- Managing vendor-related challenges, such as missed deadlines or quality issues, with swift resolutions.
- Developing contingency plans for vendor unavailability or project risks.

10. Vendor Development and Retention

- Encouraging skill development through training and resource sharing.
- Creating strategies to retain top-performing vendors.
