Procurement Officer

**Overview**:
As a Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organization's procurement process. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods and services essential for our operations. Your keen attention to detail, negotiation skills, and ability to maintain strong vendor relationships will be critical in ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality in our procurement activities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Sourcing: Identify reliable suppliers/vendors for various goods and services required by the organization. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
- Procurement: Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services while adhering to budgetary constraints. Obtain competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and finalize purchase orders.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/vendors to ensure favorable terms, timely delivery, and quality products/services. Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze procurement expenditures to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or service levels. Implement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce procurement-related expenses.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as department heads, finance, and operations teams to understand procurement needs and develop effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness. Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to drive innovation in procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers/vendors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Proficiency in procurement software/systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven procurement decisions.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
