Job title: Project Assistant

Reports to Department: Procurement/SCM

Role: Full time

Position Summary

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with the Procurement department according to the applicable procedures and work instructions.
- Purchasing Misc. items e.g. Cables, Quick Connectors, Tube Fittings, Ferrule etc.

Tasks
- Perform transactional duties including placing of purchase orders to procure material in support of manufacturing and other business functions.
- Participate in technical project meetings, review deliverables, and help drive decisions for related maintain effective cross-functional relationships; communicate regularly to maintain an understanding of timelines and activities which impact supply chain.
- Registering of work orders (WO) in Plug’s ERP as per the inputs provided by Project Manager
- Take responsibility for accurate and on-time delivery of parts and Follow-up on POs with suppliers and providing necessary with all relevant stakeholders.
- Understand material specifications and quality metrics affecting assigned parts and components; work collaboratively to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and communicate regularly; manage date pull-ins and pushouts on an ongoing basis.
- Leverage positive working relationships with suppliers based upon mutual benefit; seek favorable terms and conditions which positively impact pricing, quality, payment terms, and others as applicable.
- Track supplier performance and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders; set clear expectations with suppliers and work to add/replace suppliers as needed for optimal business results.
- Assisting the Manager Finance & HRM to generate cash flow projections and Supplier Invoice closure.
- Perform all other duties as assigned. Supporting the Supply Chain Department / Projects department / and other Plug’s Group business units
- Registering in Plug’s Enterprise Resource Software as per the inputs
- Creating purchase orders (PO) for bought out items and activities as per the inputs.
- Updating Tracker with supplier progress information
- Expiditing Suppliers as per requirement from Procurement Team.
- Registering of incoming invoices in Plug’s ERP System
- Assisting the PMs to generate project progress reports.
- Entering and processing general product information supplied by suppliers.

Level of education / experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or another applicable field
- Min. 3+ Years of Experience in Buyers role
- Must be capable of working independently, in a fast-paced environment, with mínimal supervision.
- Experience in MS-office and SAP ERP Systems
- Work with US team adhering to US timelines.

Other Skills / Abilities:

- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of business processes such as purchasing, invoicing, kpi measurement etc.
- Good social and communicative skills
