Position: Chef de Partie (Continental Cuisine)
Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Menu Planning and Development**:
- Contribute to the development and planning of the menu, particularly the Continental cuisine section.
- Create innovative and appealing dishes that meet the quality and taste standards of the restaurant.
- **Food Preparation**:
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of Continental dishes, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards.
- Manage the mise en place for the assigned section and ensure timely delivery of dishes during service.
- **Cooking and Presentation**:
- Execute cooking methods and techniques specific to Continental cuisine.
- Ensure that all dishes are presented according to established plating and presentation standards.
- **Quality Control**:
- Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure adherence to culinary standards.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate food production schedules.
- Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff members.
- **Training**:
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in Continental cooking techniques.
- Ensure that the team is up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in monitoring and controlling food costs by effectively managing portion sizes and minimizing waste.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and ordering of supplies.
- **Adherence to Health and Safety Standards**:
- Enforce and maintain strict health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- **Communication**:
- Maintain effective communication within the kitchen team.
- Communicate with front-of-house staff to address customer preferences and special requests.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Actively seek opportunities for improvement in kitchen operations and workflow.
- Provide feedback to the Head Chef for menu enhancements and adjustments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, with a focus on Continental cuisine.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and trends.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Creativity and innovation in menu planning and dish presentation.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
