Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDP to join our team. As a CDP, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of quality dishes under the supervision and guidance of the Head Chef. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to work in a dynamic culinary environment and contribute to the success of our establishment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to the menu and customer preferences
- Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in a safe and hygienic manner
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop innovative and enticing menus
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to prescribed standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available at all times
- Assist in creating and testing new recipes and menu items, while adhering to cost and quality guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, complying with food safety and sanitation regulations
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience of minimum 1-2 years as a CDP or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Continental cuisine
- Excellent culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
