**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness according to health and safety standards.
- Develop new menu items and specials in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Oversee portion control and waste management to optimize food cost.
- Handle and resolve any kitchen issues or emergencies in the absence of the Head Chef.
**Qualifications**:
- 2yrs experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
- Bachelors or diploma in hotel management
- Strong knowledge of vegetarian cuisine and culinary techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
