**Job Summary**:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the administration of payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery, compliance with statutory requirements, and efficient handling of payroll-related queries. This role involves collaborating with HR, finance, and other departments to maintain accurate payroll records and ensure that all payroll transactions are processed correctly.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Payroll Processing**:
- Process payroll for all employees, including data entry, validation, and calculation of earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Review and validate employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Manage payroll schedules and ensure timely payment to employees
**Tax Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the correct withholding and payment of payroll taxes.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and payments in accordance with regulatory deadlines.
- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and payroll regulations.
**Benefits Administration**:
- Administer employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and other voluntary benefits.
- Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits deductions and contributions.
**Record Keeping and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, finance, and other stakeholders as required.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end reports, including W-2 forms and other tax documentation.
**Employee Support**:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, including questions about earnings, deductions, tax withholdings, and direct deposit.
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues, ensuring timely and accurate correction.
- Educate employees on payroll processes and procedures as needed.
**Systems Management**:
- Utilize payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) to process payroll and maintain employee records.
- Troubleshoot payroll system issues and work with IT or external vendors to resolve technical problems.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll-related systems and processes.
**Administrative Support**:
- Assist with the onboarding of new employees, including setting up payroll accounts and direct deposit information.
- Provide administrative support to HR and finance teams, including filing, data entry, and assisting with audits.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
**Skills**:
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
