A Payroll Executive is responsible for managing the payroll processes within an organization. They ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and other compensation to employees.

**Responsibilities**:
**Process Payroll**: Collect, calculate, and verify employee time and attendance data, including overtime, leaves, bonuses, and deductions. Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time using payroll software or systems.

**Compliance**: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, employment laws, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and make necessary adjustments to payroll processes.

**Employee Records**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, bank details, tax exemptions, and employment contracts.

**Benefits Administration**: Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions. Ensure accurate and timely deductions from employee paychecks and coordinate with relevant vendors or agencies.

**Payroll Reporting**: Prepare payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax reports, and labor cost analysis. Generate reports for management, HR, and accounting departments as required.

**Resolve Payroll Issues**: Address and resolve employee payroll queries, discrepancies, and issues promptly and professionally. Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve complex payroll matters.

**Audits and Reconciliations**: Assist in payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and provide necessary documentation and reports to auditors and regulatory authorities.

**System Maintenance**: Support the maintenance and improvement of payroll systems and software. Collaborate with IT or vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and enhance system functionality.

**Process Improvement**: Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the payroll function. Propose and implement efficient and effective payroll practices, tools, and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment legislation.
- Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
