**Job Responsibilities for Commis I - Pizza**
- **Preparation of Ingredients**:
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and standards.
- Slice, dice, or prepare meats, vegetables, and other toppings.
- **Pizza Making**:
- Assemble pizzas with precision, ensuring even distribution of toppings.
- Operate pizza ovens efficiently to cook pizzas to perfection.
- Monitor cooking times and adjust as necessary to avoid undercooked or overcooked pizzas.
- **Hygiene and Cleanliness**:
- Maintain cleanliness of the pizza station, including tools and equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., proper storage of ingredients, avoiding cross-contamination).
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in managing stock levels of pizza ingredients and notifying supervisors when supplies are low.
- Ensure ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
- **Quality Control**:
- Check pizzas for consistent quality, including appearance, taste, and texture.
- Ensure every pizza meets company or restaurant standards before being served.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:
- Handle pizza ovens, cutters, and other kitchen tools safely.
- Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance on equipment.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**:
- Work closely with senior chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in other kitchen duties as required, such as preparing non-pizza dishes or helping in other sections.
- **Time Management**:
- Work efficiently to meet customer demand during busy periods.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders without compromising on quality.
- **Learning and Development**:
- Follow instructions from supervisors and senior chefs to improve skills.
- Stay updated on new recipes, techniques, and trends in pizza preparation.
