R&d Chef

BLR brewing co. is looking for a creative and innovative R&D Chef to join our team. The R&D Chef will be responsible for developing new recipes, improving existing ones, and ensuring that our culinary offerings align with current market trends and consumer preferences. This role requires a passion for food, a deep understanding of culinary techniques, and the ability to think outside the box to create unique and marketable dishes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet quality, taste, and cost standards.
- Innovate and experiment with ingredients, techniques, and presentations to create unique dishes.
- Modify and improve existing recipes based on feedback, nutritional requirements, and market trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align culinary creations with brand goals and target markets.
- Conduct market research to identify current food trends and consumer preferences.
- Source new ingredients and evaluate their suitability for the menu.
- Ensure that all recipes are documented with detailed instructions, measurements, and nutritional information.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the test kitchen.
- Work closely with suppliers to stay informed about new products and ingredients.
- Train kitchen staff on new recipes and techniques as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
- Proven experience as an R&D Chef, Executive Chef, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
- Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in the kitchen.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in recipe development software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in a specific cuisine or specialty, such as pastry, plant-based cooking, or molecular gastronomy.
- Knowledge of food science and nutrition.
- Experience working with large-scale food production or in a commercial kitchen setting.
