**Overview**: The Semi Qualified Company Secretary is a crucial part of our team, responsible for leading and mentoring a group of executives to ensure the successful completion of assignments in compliance with the firm's standards. The Firm is a boutique Company Secretary Firm specialising in Corporate Law Compliances serving MSME businesses and Startups. The area of operations involve:
- Compliances under Companies,Act 2013, FEMA & other Corporate Laws
- NCLT Representations
- Intellectual Property Law related Advisory services
- Commercial Contract Drafting and Vetting
This role requires proactive management of tasks, effective problem-solving skills, and strong leadership to guide and develop junior team members.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership and Development**:
- Directly oversee the executives in the team, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and completed on time.
- Act as a mentor to executives, providing guidance and support to aid their professional growth and ensure high performance.
**Project Management**:
- Ensure that all assignments are completed within the stipulated deadlines.
- Actively manage the progress of tasks using the firm’s project management tools, marking the stages of assignments accurately.
**Problem Resolution**:
- Identify bottlenecks or issues in the execution of tasks and promptly communicate these challenges to the Company Secretary for resolution.
- Facilitate a smooth workflow by providing solutions and support to overcome operational hurdles.
**Documentation and Compliance**:
- Maintain meticulous work notes and ensure that all subordinate executives properly maintain their work notes as well.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date time sheets and ensure the same practice is followed by all team members.
- Ensure strict adherence to the firm’s operational and client communication Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by the entire team.
**Quality Control**:
- Monitor the quality of work produced by the team, ensuring it meets the firm’s standards and client expectations.
- Provide regular feedback to executives on their work output and areas for improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a Practicing Company Secretary Firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
