A start-up in the Dairy Industry is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven National Sales Head to lead and manage their National Sales Operations. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the dairy industry, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion. This role involves overseeing the national sales strategy, building and managing high-performing sales teams, and establishing strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1) Sales Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve the company's revenue and market share goals within the dairy sector.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets and monitor performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
2) Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and inspire the national sales team to deliver exceptional results.
Build and sustain high-performing sales teams across different regions.
4) Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
Ensure a customer-first approach, resolving issues promptly and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Negotiate and close high-value sales agreements with strategic clients.
5) Budgeting & Reporting:
Manage the national sales budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize sales growth.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management.
Monitor the effectiveness of sales programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Skills and Competencies
In-depth knowledge of the dairy industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and distribution channels.
Proven track record of driving sales growth, expanding market share, and achieving financial targets.
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel extensively across the country.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the FMCG or dairy industry.
