Position Overview

A Grade 1 Associate Pre-Sales Consultant assists in product demonstrations, helps coordinate proof of concept (POC) activities, gains familiarity with compliance gaps, and supports the project lifecycle through closure, including quarterly support reviews. Under supervision, the Associate collaborates with sales, product, and engineering teams to propose basic solutions aligned with client needs and regulatory standards, while developing foundational pre-sales skills.

The Pre-Sales Consultant plays a key role in the business development of the company's Network Monitoring System (NMS) product line. This role involves engaging with enterprise and service provider clients, conducting on-site and virtual product demonstrations, identifying infrastructure pain points, and providing solution-fit guidance. The consultant works closely with sales and product teams to develop technical proposals, manage RFPs, and convert opportunities into deployments through PoC planning and client workshops.

Skills Required

  • Basic Technical Aptitude: Understanding of product features and the ability to learn technical details quickly.
  • Presentation & Demo Skills: Willingness to develop strong communication abilities for product demos.
  • POC Assistance: Ability to follow guidelines for setting up and testing proof of concept scenarios.
  • Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of common compliance requirements (e.g., data security, privacy).
  • Project Coordination: Capacity to handle assigned tasks, maintain simple project logs, and track deliverables.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Good interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams and customers under guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Product Demos & POC ActivitiesSupport senior consultants in preparing and delivering demos.
  • Help coordinate basic POC tasks, collecting and documenting test outcomes.
  • Awareness of Compliance GapsLearn about relevant compliance standards; help check for obvious compliance issues in proposed solutions.
  • Escalate potential compliance gaps to senior team members.
  • Project Tracking & Closure SupportMaintain simple status logs, ensure milestones are updated, and assist in final consultancy for project closures.
  • Communicate progress and gather feedback under senior consultant direction.
  • Quarterly Support Review Participation Join quarterly check-in sessions with customers to understand solution performance and gather feedback.
  • Document insights for improvement, forwarding details to the appropriate teams.
  • Collaboration & Documentation Work with sales, product, and engineering teams for solution alignment.
  • Draft basic reports (e.g., summary of demo feedback, POC test logs, closure notes).
