General Job Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and identifying new business opportunities within the Independent Power Producer (IPP) sector, with a specific focus on the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. This role involves developing and executing strategies to enhance the company’s market presence and achieve business objectives in the renewable energy space.About the CompanyZeit Green Development India Ptd.(ZGDI), a subsidiary of GS E&C, is a leader in the engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors, specializing in delivering innovative solutions in the renewable energy industry. We are committed to driving growth and sustainability through advanced technologies and strategic partnerships.Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct meetings (online or offline) with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback for new opportunities in the C&I segment for Open Access, Group Captive Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), or Third-Party solutions.Analyze electricity bills and consumption patterns of potential consumers to determine optimal capacity and solutions.Evaluate the regulatory framework to identify the most suitable renewable energy (RE) solutions;

perform petition analysis and quantitative/qualitative assessments of regulatory issues.Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to facilitate project development and delivery.Engage with stakeholders within the customer’s organization to assess the feasibility of opportunities and understand specific requirements.Lead negotiations with buyers to finalize the terms and conditions of PPAs and Shareholding Agreements (SHA).Address outstanding issues with State Distribution Companies (DISCOMs), Transmission Companies (TRANSCOs), State Load Dispatch Centers (SLDCs), Nodal Agencies, and Regulatory Commissions as needed.Monitor and analyze regulatory frameworks, market trends, and competitor activities affecting Open Access PPAs;

provide regular updatesto the team and management on potential impacts on business growth.Qualification and RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development within the renewable energy sector, particularly in the IPP business for the C&I segment.Strong understanding of commercial, market, financing, governance, and regulatory aspects of renewable energy projects.Demonstrated ability in managing the sales process and handling multiple opportunities simultaneously.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of regulatory procedures and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.Core Skills Business DevelopmentSales and Financial AnalysisProject ManagementAnalytical and Problem-Solving SkillsNegotiation and Communication SkillsRegulatory Knowledge in the Renewable Energy SectorCustomer Relationship Management
