Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to promote and market healthcare products among doctors, pharmacists, and distributors. The role focuses on building strong professional relationships, creating awareness about products, and driving sales growth in the assigned territory. This position is ideal for candidates who are motivated, have good communication skills, and are willing to travel within the assigned geographical territory.

The ASM will lead a team of Business Development Executives, strengthen doctor and distributor relationships, and ensure consistent revenue growth. The role requires leadership, sales closing expertise, and the ability to plan and execute effective territory strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, guide, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives/Business Development Executives to achieve area sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pulmonologists, hospitals, pharmacists, and distributors.
  • Plan and implement territory-level sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct joint field visits with the team to support product promotion and market expansion.
  • Ensure distributor coordination and proper stock availability in the market.
  • Track sales performance, competitor activities, and market trends; prepare regular reports for management.
  • Organize marketing events, awareness drives, and engagement activities for doctors and pharmacists.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and ethical sales practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3–5 years of sales experience in healthcare, pharma, or medical products, with at least 1–2 years in a team-handling role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Target-driven, analytical, and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
