The HR Manager, Employee Relations & HR Compliance for APAC, provides coaching, consulting, expertise and thought leadership to People Leaders, HR and employees on Employee Relations matters such as performance management, offboarding, policy management, and grievance/investigations, Audits and HR compliance related matters.

Responsible for implementing strategies to resolve conflicts and ensure HR compliance, adherence to labor laws and company policies. May provide work direction or guidance regarding employment law or company policy to less experienced members of the human resources staff. Receives only general direction from an HR Director and has broad latitude for independent judgment.

Ability to:

·Interpret and apply applicable labor and employment laws in the region

·Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a fair and timely manner.

·Assist Leaders with diagnosing and resolving issues through proper questioning techniques, active listening skills and risk assessment.

·Deeply understand and apply Company policy/procedure/best practices and applicable law while consulting with Leaders, to reduce risk to the Company.

·Collaborate with internal legal counsel on issues as appropriate and external legal when approved and necessary.

·Investigate issues by gathering all relevant facts, interviewing critical witnesses, reviewing similar cases, and using knowledge, judgment and experience, to recommend course of action; assist with the implementation of corrective actions and/or disciplinary procedures.

·Handle complex and emotionally charged issues with composure, addressing situations objectively and without bias.

·Mediate issues between employees to minimize workplace conflict.

·Monthly & quarterly reporting on Employee Relations matters, interpreting data and making recommendations for positive change in the work environment.

·Manage a high volume of Employee Relations cases.

·Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization and ensure strict adherence to confidentiality and sensitivity in handling all aspects of private data and confidential matters.

·Multi-task and work in a fast-paced, often stressful, multiple-priority environment.

·Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision (self-motivated, take initiative, and drive results).

·Be highly adaptable to change.

·Remain informed on global employee relations trends, internal policy updates and updates to legislation

Experience:

·At least twelve (12) years of direct employee relations experience providing guidance to management and researching, investigating and responding to employee issues and concerns.

·Demonstrate advanced knowledge of labor laws.

·Knowledge of HR Compliance, Employment &Labour laws standards in the region

·Apply in-depth knowledge of local, regional and country regulations regarding employment practices related to the day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

·Strong communication skills, both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, external clients, etc.).

·Utilize time management skills such as prioritizing, organizing, tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

·Demonstrate success in objectively consulting employees and managers on employee relations issues of varied scope and complexity consistent with company protocol.

·Apply strong conflict resolution skills.

·Demonstrate a professional level of confidentiality handing sensitive applicant, employee and company information.

·Develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, managers and employees.

·Conduct basic research, analyze data, and prepare recommendations.

·Demonstrate strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.
