Job Summary :

In this role you will be responsible for Managing strategic sourcing activities,Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs. Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients. Monitoring market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing. Partnering with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.


What You Will Do:

Chemical Raw Material Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement strategies for chemical procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely supply.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends of polymers & fluids, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes in the chemical industry.

Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Regularly assess supplier performance and manage long-term agreements to secure favorable terms.

Project Resource Planning:

  • Work closely with project teams to identify procurement needs for specific projects, including materials, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules with project timelines to ensure that resources are available when needed, preventing delays.
  • Manage vendor contracts, supply agreements, and logistics for large-scale projects.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Price, cost variance report and analysis.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets for individual raw materials, projects, ensuring alignment with overall project financial.
  • Negotiate and review alternative suppliers to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Track project procurement expenses and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Customs and Trade Compliance:

  • Ensure that all international purchases comply with import/export regulations, customs clearance, and duties.
  • Work closely with legal and logistics teams to ensure adherence to international trade
  • laws and avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Manage documentation and permits for international shipments, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bills of Lading (BL), and Certificates of Origin.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with international procurement, such as geopolitical risks, currency fluctuations, and supplier reliability.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of international supply chain disruptions.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / chemical engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-4 years in chemical procurement and/or international purchasing. With proven track record in project procurement, including large-scale projects in industries like chemicals, manufacturing, or oil & gas.
