Overview:

The Adecco Group seeks an experienced Chemical Procurement Manager to lead large-scale projects, overseeing the strategic sourcing of chemical raw materials and managing supplier relationships. This role requires a deep understanding of the chemical industry, project procurement expertise, and negotiation skills.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Chemical Raw Material Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for procuring chemical raw materials, ensuring timely supply and minimizing disruptions.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes in the chemical industry to inform procurement decisions.

Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Regularly assess supplier performance and manage long-term agreements to secure favorable terms, optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.

Project Resource Planning:

  • Collaborate with project teams to identify procurement needs for specific projects, including materials, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules with project timelines to ensure resources are available when needed, preventing delays and maintaining project momentum.
  • Manage vendor contracts, supply agreements, and logistics for large-scale projects, ensuring seamless execution.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control procurement budgets for individual raw materials and projects, aligning expenses with overall project financial goals.
  • Negotiate and review alternative suppliers to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Track project procurement expenses and provide regular reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Customs and Trade Compliance:

  • Ensure all international purchases comply with import/export regulations, customs clearance, and duties, minimizing risks associated with non-compliance.
  • Work closely with legal and logistics teams to ensure adherence to international trade laws and avoid supply chain disruptions.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with international procurement, such as geopolitical risks, currency fluctuations, and supplier reliability.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of international supply chain disruptions, ensuring business continuity.
