George Brown College has had an active partnership with Chitkara University since 2006, a relationship that grew stronger with the establishment of innovative Academic Mentorship models at the Chitkara University Centre for Global Education (CGE) in Culinary Arts in 2019, and Data Analytics in 2023. These two programs offer students the opportunity to study George Brown College curriculum at Chitkara University for the first two years, followed by the opportunity to transfer to Canada to complete the remaining two years of study to earn a degree from George Brown College. To strengthen the partnership and promote the programs to prospective students, George Brown is hiring a Partnership Liaison Officer to be the single point of contact to support student recruitment and all activities relating to this association. The position will be based out of the Chitkara University campus in Mohali, Chandigarh.

Responsibilities

- Support of marketing and recruitment efforts related to the partnership, including advising prospective students and / or their parents to provide information and advice on the partnership programs and George Brown College, including offerings, services and facilities, program admission requirements, tuition fees, student support services, housing options, etc.- Representing George Brown and the partnership programs at education fairs and other recruitment events- Conducting outreach presentations in schools- Supporting application and admissions pre-screening- Coordinating and delivering student orientation at the beginning of each academic year- Ongoing coordination of student support and student services to support retention- Liaising between GBC and CGE on tracking and reporting student success and grade reporting- Liaising between GBC and CGE on class scheduling and other operational needs- Supporting the creation of individual study plans for students where necessary- Support with Work Integrated Learning (WIL)- Coordinating all logistics and travel planning for visiting GBC faculty- Supporting GBC visiting faculty while teaching onsite at Chitkara University- Supporting student transfer / mobility, including application submission, admission requirements documentation, and study permit processing- Supporting pre-transfer / pre-departure orientation for students transferring from Chitkara University to GBC- Other duties as assigned by the Director – South Asia, Middle East & Africa, which may include furthering GBC’s priorities in the region unrelated to the partnership

Qualifications

- A post-secondary education (diploma or degree) from a recognized institution- Three years’ experience in a role related to international student recruitment, marketing, sales, education delivery or administration of study abroad programs, with up-to-date overseas experience- Proven experience in nurturing or engagement in international partnerships and recruitment- Excellent communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English- Familiar with current market conditions and industry trends in the markets relevant to the assigned region- Proven market development and relationship experience- Familiar with the use of communication; social media and information technologies for networking and marketing purposes- Diplomacy, negotiation and conflict resolution skills- Excellence in customer service skills including cultural knowledge and skills in the context of the assigned market- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes- Experience working with confidential information (student data, etc.)- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, when required- Ability and willingness to travel within India and outside the country throughout the year (must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally)
