Job Title: Placement Officer

Overview:
As a Placement Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating job placements and internships for students and graduates of our institution. You will develop and maintain relationships with employers, coordinate recruitment activities, and provide career guidance to students to enhance their employability and career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
Placement Coordination: Facilitate the placement process for students, including job postings, resume submissions, interview scheduling, and job offers. Serve as a liaison between students, employers, and academic departments to ensure a smooth and successful placement experience.

Career Counseling: Provide individualized career guidance and support to students, including resume writing, interview preparation, networking strategies, and job search techniques. Conduct workshops, seminars, and informational sessions to enhance students' career readiness and professionalism.

Employment Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student placement outcomes, including employment status, job titles, salaries, and employer feedback. Prepare reports and analysis on placement trends, employment statistics, and alumni success stories for institutional review and accreditation purposes.

Internship Program Management: Collaborate with academic departments to develop and oversee internship programs that align with students' career interests and academic goals. Assist students in securing internship placements and monitor their progress and performance throughout the internship period.

Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, labor market demands, and hiring practices to provide relevant career advice and guidance to students. Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and networking events to enhance your own skills and knowledge.

Marketing and Promotion: Promote placement services, career resources, and employer partnerships through various channels, including social media, website content, newsletters, and campus events. Develop marketing materials and presentations to showcase the success of our placement program.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in counseling, human resources, business administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.

Previous experience in career services, recruitment, human resources, or related fields, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, employers, and stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Knowledge of career development theories, counseling techniques, and job search strategies.

Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to recruitment and placement activities.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in supporting the career needs of all students.
