Head of Human Resources

Bengaluru, India NIRA Full time
About NIRA:

Starting with credit, NIRA is building financial services for India's mass market. While the well-off are served by banks, the average Indian is usually forced to turn to a local money lender at their time of need. Their high costs can lead to financial and emotional distress for the borrower. We’re here to provide a better alternative; one that’s economically better for the customer, and which also preserves their dignity.

Middle India is a huge market that is underserved by the existing providers of financial services, including other fintechs. Depending on where you draw the line, this group comprises anywhere between 150mm and 250mm people. This addressable market will continue to grow as the economy grows, digital penetration increases, and the transition of workers from the informal to formal market continues.

Our credit product has been received tremendously well by the market; we’ve disbursed nearly $200mm of loans to customers in more than 5,000 towns across India. In addition to growing the core lending business, we’ll introduce additional context driven products, resulting in a suite of offerings relevant for our customers. Our goal is to be the primary financial relationship for Middle India.
