Position Summary:
Mentor Together, India's first and largest youth mentoring non-profit organization, is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead our HR functions. The Head of HR will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Lead the development of HR plans, policies, and procedures.
Provide HR guidance and support to senior management.
Recruitment and Talent Management:
Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning and career development programs.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance appraisal process to ensure timely and constructive feedback.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management issues.
Compensation and Benefits:
Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Ensure compliance with regulations regarding compensation and benefits.
Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure market competitiveness.
Compliance and Legal:
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that adhere to legal standards.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure HR practices are compliant and effective.
Organizational Development:
Lead initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Facilitate change management processes to support organizational growth and development.
Conduct regular assessments of organizational culture and implement strategies for improvement.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Develop and monitor key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Prepare and present HR reports to senior management and the board.
Use data and analytics to drive HR decision-making and strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM) is preferred.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a non-profit organization.
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Strong strategic planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
