About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic sales professional to drive B2B corporate and SME sales for general insurance products in Kanpur. The role involves acquiring new clients, managing corporate accounts, and providing customized insurance solutions under IRDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and onboard new SME and corporate clients for general insurance products (fire, marine, liability, group health, etc.).
  • Business Development: Generate leads through cold calling, references, industry networking, and digital channels.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients to drive renewals and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Requirement Mapping: Understand client business risks and insurance needs to provide optimal coverage solutions in consultation with underwriters.
  • Coordination with Insurers: Liaise with insurance companies for quotes, policy issuance, endorsements, and claims support.
  • Target Achievement: Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets in line with the organizations objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting insurance sales.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IRDA guidelines and company policies in all transactions and client interactions.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate / post-graduate in any discipline (Insurance certification is a plus).
  • 26 years of relevant experience in B2B sales / corporate sales in the insurance industry or financial services.
  • Good knowledge of general insurance products, underwriting basics, and claims processes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently in the Kanpur market.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for reporting and tracking.
