Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR) Head - India Region

Location: Mumbai/Bangalore

Department: Inside Sales

Reporting To: VP of Sales / Director of Sales

Job Overview:

The SDR Head will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-the-funnel activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and initial outreach to prospective clients. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to implement strategies for pipeline development, align goals with broader organizational objectives, and create a high-performance culture within the SDR team.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage the SDR team across the India region, ensuring a high level of performance and motivation.

Implement best practices in sales prospecting, outreach, and lead qualification to maximize efficiency.

Set clear goals, KPIs, and targets for the team, and ensure accountability through regular reviews and feedback.

Sales Strategy & Pipeline Generation:

Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Marketing, and other departments to develop and execute an effective sales development strategy for the India region.

Own and drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation efforts, working to expand the pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Use data-driven approaches to optimize outbound and inbound lead generation strategies.

Process Optimization & Technology:

Define and refine processes and workflows that enable the SDR team to be more efficient and productive.

Leverage CRM and sales engagement platforms to manage leads, track performance, and optimize outreach strategies.

Ensure seamless collaboration between SDR, Sales, and Marketing teams.

Recruitment & Talent Development:

Recruit, train, and onboard new SDRs, ensuring they are fully equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed.

Continuously provide coaching and development to the team to enhance their prospecting, qualification, and closing skills.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices in sales development and SaaS.

Provide regular feedback to the product and marketing teams on customer needs, market insights, and competitive positioning.

Reporting & Analytics:

Track and report key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates, qualified opportunities, and pipeline growth.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the SDR team’s performance and areas for improvement.
