Head the sales and business development team in India and drive the vision and long-term sales plan. The person will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies, vision and plans for sales, business development, and identification of new business opportunities for the company’s services and products in the global market.

Candidate must have experience of selling experience in Geospatial & Mapping vertical. He should have strong connects within the utility and mapping industry.


The key responsibilities:


New Business:

  • Manage and grow various business development activities of RMSI’s Geospatial & Mapping business in international market
  • Developing new strategies for new prospects in all segments of Geospatial & Mapping related services
  • Prepare a detailed annual sales plan, which defines monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives and targets.
  • Identify and develop a healthy pipeline of prospects through continuous client engagement.
  • New market development by driving sales campaign and sales forecasting.
  • Identify and network with potential clients and prospects
  • Manage all onsite sales and partner development activities, including face to face/telecon meetings with prospects & clients.
  • Responsible for sales closure and achieving revenue, sales targets and growth from new business.
  • Work closely with the business units heads to define sales strategy for UK /Europe geography.
  • Monitor market and competitor intelligence and landscape.
  • Represent RMSI in client presentations, seminars, exhibitions and other forums.
  • Work closely with the business development and technical teams both onshore and offshore in India.
  • Contribute to development of response to Proposal/RFI/RFP
  • Result oriented, enterprising person and a team player.


Existing Business:

  • Support key account management for various activities involved in ‘Key Account Management’, as advised by RMSI
  • Develop a working knowledge of the customers operations and the internal organizational hierarchy, to anticipate customer needs and respond effectively.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers at all levels of the organization (C level, business unit executives, Operations & IT professionals) for better understanding of their highest priority business needs
  • Develop and drive new business in target accounts and expand existing accounts by selling services, specifically in the areas of data management, application development and consulting services
  • Connect with key decision makers and developing strategies for partnerships


Essentials:

  • Must have experience of selling in Mapping and Geospatial services
  • The person should have the ability to formulate business development and sales strategies, implementing sales methodologies, managing a pipeline, forecasting revenues and maintaining the key customer relationship.
  • Should have excellent commercial negotiations, contract negotiation, invoice generation, billing and collections.
  • Education: Bachelor or Master Degree with specification either in GIS, marketing, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • In depth knowledge of the industry and new/ emerging technology trends
  • Experience: 18+ years of experience in Sales Role in the areas of geospatial services.
  • Industry Connect: In-depth understanding of the geospatial industry and connects
  • Domain Experience: Experience in GIS mapping/GIS Application Development
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
