Summary
The Vertical Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within assigned metro territories (Bangalore) by expanding business in strategic industry verticals such as retail, e-commerce, transportation & logistics, and manufacturing. This role focuses on developing key accounts, acquiring new clients, and increasing wallet share in existing accounts through consultative, value-based selling of Newland's AIDC solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow business in focused verticals.
· Engage directly with enterprise customers to identify business needs and position appropriate solutions.
· Build strong relationships with decision-makers, operations teams, and influencers across customer organizations.
· Work closely with system integrators and authorized partners for solution implementation, pricing, and post-sale support.
· Own the complete sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, technical evaluation (with FAE team), pricing, and closure.
· Drive demand generation activities including presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
· Ensure accurate sales forecasting and CRM updates.
· Share market insights and competitive feedback with internal teams.
· Support partner enablement and participate in joint customer engagements and events.
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention post-deployment. Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (preferred: Electronics, Mechatronics, IT).
· –10 years of proven B2B sales experience in technology solutions, preferably in AIDC, mobility, industrial automation, or enterprise IT.
· Strong experience in enterprise customer engagement and channel-driven sales models.
· Deep understanding of the regional market and customer landscape.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems.
· Willingness to travel (up to 30%) within assigned region.
· Fluent in English; local language proficiency is a plus.
