Role Overview:
Are you an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager with a passion for driving technical excellence and delivering innovative solutions? Do you thrive in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient project delivery? Is your background a blend of strategic vision and hands-on technical expertise? If so, get ready to lead an ambitious team
This role requires a strong technical background and proven leadership abilities. You will oversee the end-to-end development process, mentor and grow engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life. As an Engineering Manager, you will set high standards of technical excellence, foster a culture of collaboration, and ensure Visa2Fly's engineering team remains at the forefront of travel technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Project Management: Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products on time and within scope.
- Quality Assurance: Establish coding standards and quality assurance processes for robust and secure technology solutions.
- Strategy and Implementation: Contribute to the technical roadmap, aligning initiatives with business objectives.
- Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate resources across projects to maximize team productivity and ensure that engineering objectives align with business goals.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product, design, operations and customer support teams to align technical specifications with business requirements.
- Monitor Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to assess team performance and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the travel industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Proven track record of evaluating and enhancing engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize team efficiency.
- Experience with system architecture, cloud services, and API integrations to support scalable solutions.
- Exceptional leadership and verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
