Role Overview:


Are you a visionary technology leader with a passion for driving innovation and spearheading cutting-edge tech initiatives? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a track record of scaling products from inception to maturity? Are you fluent in the language of APIs, and cloud architecture? If so, get ready to lead with an ambitious team


This role requires expertise in driving strategic technology initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining domain knowledge by participating in industry forums. You will leverage your experience with existing software and systems development processes to define and collect metrics, developing improved processes for the future. As the AVP Technology, you will be responsible for managing multiple product lines, guiding their growth end-to-end with the right vision, optimizing existing platforms to support expansions into new markets and offerings, and ensuring Visa2Fly’s technological leadership across all key areas. 


Key Projects and Initiatives


  • AI and Automation : Lead initiatives focused on integrating AI and automation across platforms to enhance end-user experience and optimize back-end processes.
  • Product Enhancement and Innovation : Continually evolve our digital products to meet customer needs, focusing on both operational efficiency and user satisfaction.


Team Structure and Collaboration


  • Oversee a diverse team of developers, IT specialists, data engineers, and other tech-related roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Product, Marketing, and Operations to drive cohesive strategies and align technology initiatives with company goals.


Desired Qualifications


  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally with a blend of innovation, digital transformation, and operational optimization.
  • Expertise in backend and frontend technologies, with hands-on experience in Java, Python, Angular, and React Native.
  • Excellent organizational, execution, and team collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in the travel industry is a plus but not mandatory.

The AVP of Technology will play a critical role in scaling our products, from optimizing existing platforms to supporting expansions into new markets and offerings. This role will directly impact business growth by aligning technology strategy with overall company objectives.

  • Delivery Timelines : Meet and exceed project delivery goals.
  • Innovation : Introduce impactful technology-driven enhancements.
  • Product Expansion : Successfully support new product development.
  • User Satisfaction : Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • System Uptime : Ensure reliable, high-performing systems.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead Technology Initiatives: Spearhead and Drive the strategic direction for technology initiatives across the organization with all the related departments- Development, Product, UI & UX, and IT Infrastructure. 
  • Foster Innovation and Scalability: Encourage the exploration and implementation of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence. 
  • Product Management: Oversee the lifecycle of multiple product lines, and define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct regular design and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards, and improve product performance, user experience, and back-end processes. 
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to deliver reliable and high-performing products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the technology team and other business units, to align technology solutions with organizational goals and requirements. 


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the travel industry is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in scaling successful brands, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally with a blend of innovation, digital transformation, and operational optimization.
  • Expertise in backend and frontend technologies, with hands-on experience in Java, Python, Angular, and React Native.
  • Strong track record of driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
