UrbanGabru, a leading men’s grooming brand, is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Modern Trade Executive to strengthen our presence in key modern trade channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with retail chains, ensuring product visibility, and driving sales growth across our grooming product portfolio. About the Role:
Account Management:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key modern trade outlets (supermarkets, hypermarkets, personal care chains, etc.).
- Handle negotiations, pricing discussions, and promotions with store managers and buyers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all modern trade partners within the designated region.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Meet and exceed sales targets for UrbanGabru products in modern trade channels.
- Ensure consistent product availability and optimal shelf placement to maximize brand visibility and sales.
Product Merchandising & Visibility:
- Implement merchandising standards to enhance product visibility, focusing on high-traffic areas.
- Ensure grooming products are well-stocked, correctly priced, and prominently displayed at all times.
- Oversee promotional activities and ensure all promotional materials (displays, stands, etc.) are effectively utilized.
Business Development & Growth:
- Identify new business opportunities within modern trade, expanding the brand's footprint in untapped markets.
- Partner with retail chains for in-store activations, special promotions, and exclusive collaborations.
- Monitor competitor activity and suggest competitive pricing strategies to retain and grow market share.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze sales data to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and actionable insights to the sales management team.
- Stay updated with market trends and customer preferences in the men’s grooming segment.
Coordination with Marketing & Distribution:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan in-store promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Coordinate with supply chain and distribution teams to ensure timely product delivery and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG, personal care, or grooming sector.
- Proven track record in managing modern trade accounts.
- Strong understanding of the men’s grooming industry and consumer behavior.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with data to derive insights and improve sales performance.
- Knowledge of merchandising and promotional activities in retail environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
