Job Description

Primary Role & Responsibility

Minimum Qualification

Job Summary :

• To support and handle Financial Reporting team and ensure timely and accurate delivery as per defined close calendar. Lead delivery team & execute as per SLAs.

Key Accountabilities :

Operations & Process:

Ensure end-to-end operations management for SEC forms 10Q/10K/8K, Financial supplements, disclosures etc.Partnering in setting the team’s strategic direction and assisting in the overall running of the team’s operationsOwnership of processes, reports, procedures or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processesFinancial reporting and SEC reporting experience preferredPrepare critical GAAP supplements, financial statements and Notes to accounts before submission to onshore teamLeadership and development of staffLiaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projectsSupport quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as well as independent external auditorsParticipate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requestsUnderstand & anticipate clients’ business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the sameIdentify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controlsEnsure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controlsEnsure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirementsPrepare the US GAAP Fianancial statements and note disclosures for group;Prepare and post IFRS 16 Lease entries required for group;Perform various analysis - IBNR FX analysis, Loss reserve analysis and rollforwards, Doubtful debt analysis;Support the Intercompany process, creation of journals and liasing with the affilities to reconcile balances;Prepare various reports such as Reinsurance recoverables report, Country by Country Tax reports, FAPI reports;Support with collating critical spreadsheets across finance and support with preparation of audit requests and other ad hoc requestsCA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance

CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 6+ years of experience in Financial Reporting (SEC Reporting)Knowledge of Financial reporting, US GAAP policies/principles and other US GAAP requirementsIdentify and implement enhancements and efficienciesCapable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelinesKnowledge of US GAAP reporting concepts including accounting standardsExperience with financial reporting applications (Oracle BI, Essbase, Workiva)Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power BI etc.)ERP’s such as SUNGL, Oracle, Wdesk etc.Proficiency in EnglishExcellent Communication / interpersonal skillsData gathering ability/ Eye for detailStrong people management and leadership skills.Capability to conduct an appraisal discussion and assess different levels of performance and potential.Capability to communicate with large teams.Process Excellence Methodology.Appreciation of the domain needs of the process and its key drivers.Reasonable level of business perspective regarding the internal functioning of BPO/EXL.Good networking capability and Client facing skills.
