Job Title : Head of Finance
Location : Mumbai
Job Description:
One of our hyper growth portfolio companies which is in the Food / FMCG / daily consumption market are looking for a Head of a Finance. A role to build the accounting and financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage company and contribute to its growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Cash Management:
Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimising working capital and ensuring the company's ability to meet its financial obligations.
Implement effective cash management policies and procedures.
Financial Operations:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and compliance measures.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
Work closely with the executive team to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to support short-term and long-term financial goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CA is preferred.
Proven experience as a finance leader in early-stage consumer companies, preferably in a seed to Series A - stage environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
