Presales Solutions Architect- Hybrid Cloud

Responsibilities
Be part of the presales team, techno commercial arena with passion towards solving customer challenges in DC and Cloud domains
Proactive approach to customer in terms of fight solutions and benchmark against industry standards
To work effectively with the key stakeholders across the Hybrid Cloud Solutions practice and Business Development Executives (BDEs) within HCL Technologies to effectively lead the aligned pre-sales engagements to success.
Candidate should be able to participate in deep architectural discussions with customers globally (CXO level) with good solution presentation/articulation skills ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the datacenter/cloud.
To demonstrate the credibility of HCL Data center and Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) Technology Solutions at all levels, but with a particular focus on key decision makers at the customers' organization
Strategy & Innovation: articulate business/industry fundamentals (e.g., Vertical, BFSI, Healthcare); understand regulations and operational excellence; familiarity with business strategy and trends in the IT industry (e.g., CI/CD, IoT, Predictive Analytics)
Technology Breadth: demonstrate architectural best practices applied across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development
Technology Depth: demonstrate detailed knowledge of concepts, implementation, patterns, and issues of at least one technology area; demonstrate the ability to quickly assimilate information about new technologies and business models
To cover prospects/customers based across all the globe, ability to travel globally as and when required
Analyse customer business problems, elicit functional and non-functional requirements, and formulate actionable strategies to solve customer challenges by leveraging existing offerings or through the creation of new GTM offerings.
Producing compelling value propositions and customer solutions, throughout the sales lifecycle, owning the Cloud Solutions elements of formal RFI/PQQ and client conversations / presentations as required
Be fully mobile and support BDEs in client presentations and Meetings supporting the proposed technical solutions
Be at the forefront of technology discussions within the Managed Services, Cloud and Hybrid IT space and actively liaise with the Service Design and Management teams within the practice to contribute towards the successfully contract signature
Ensuring HCL quality and efficiency practices are adhered too.
Ensuring that responses achieve maximum level of re-use of standardized artefacts and offerings artefacts.
Remain technology and market aware to ensure the production of relevant customer propositions and GTM offerings.
Technical skills required
Requires experience in end-to-end pre-sales / solutions selling on high net worth deals and comes from Solution Owner / Enterprise Architecture background
Experience in architecting solutions, ability to understand customer pain points, requirements and translate these into a winning solution approach, responding to RFPs for infrastructure management Outsourcing Services
Strong client facing and communication skills and capable to independently think, conduct customer workshops articulate and comprehend customer pain points in technology and commercial areas for providing solutions.
Hands-on Public/Private cloud infrastructure design and deployment experience in enterprise organisations
Good knowledge towards Hybrid cloud transformation and migration engagements.
Excellent understanding of various cloud technologies- Azure, AWS, GCP and VMWare on AWS/Azure
Proven track record and accurate solutions estimations in
Cloud infrastructure design - including network topology and security considerations
Automation and Configuration management.
Cloud consumption and economics.
Excellent Multi Operating System /Hypervisor knowledge: Windows, Linux OS, ESXi, Hyper -V services along with storage management, SAN, NAS, Back-up, Security and Databases etc.)
Excellent knowledge of Storage and backup architectures, technologies and products like next-gen storage and backup solutions
Good knowledge on Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) Solutions (e.g., Azure Stack, vSAN/Nutanix, vRA and VCF).
Good networking, LAN/WAN, Load balancing, WAN optimization knowledge
Knowledge of software defined Networking technologies and products like NSX-T, Cisco ACI and SD-WAN etc.
Design and architecture understanding of Security controls like firewalls, IDS/IPS, end-point protection, DDoS, VPN etc.
Excellent soft-skills particularly in client expectation management.
Ability to articulate to both technical/non-technical stakeholders for RFPs.
Good understanding of next-gen technologies and services like Containers, PaaS, BigData platforms, DevSecOps etc.
Knowledge of configuration management (eg: chef, Ansible, Terraform, puppet, etc)
Cloud certification is desirable - e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP/VMWare: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
Understanding of common application approaches and technologies (e.g. SOA, message queuing)
Good understanding of at least one industry vertical; preferably Retail, BFSI, Manufacturing, ENU, Pharma.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills, especially with senior level stakeholders
Ability to collaborate across the business where required
Be proficient in assessing options (e.g. risk, performance, cost-benefit) and informing decision-makers with persuasive visualizations based upon assessment outputs.
