Job Overview:
The personnel is responsible for anchoring the sales conversations by understanding customer needs, crafting customized solutions, and demonstrating the value of the company's products and services. This role involves close collaboration with the product development and technical teams to ensure successful sales activities and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Develop / Collaborate detailed technical proposals and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals).
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the solutions/technical team to design and present solutions that meet customers' specific needs.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of the company’s offerings.
- Client Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close deals that benefit both the customer and the company.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, tracking all sales process stages from lead generation to deal closure.
- Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, performance metrics, and forecasts to the Sales Head.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors’ products and solutions to effectively position the company’s offerings.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
- Customer Acquisition: Number of new customers acquired and onboarded successfully.
- Customer Satisfaction: Customer feedback and satisfaction ratings related to the sales process and solutions provided
- Deal Closure Rate: Percentage of deals successfully closed from the opportunities identified.
- Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted to customers based on pre-sales activities
- Proposal Quality: Accuracy, clarity, and persuasiveness of technical proposals.
- Retention and Upselling: Success in retaining existing customers and upselling additional products or services.
- Revenue Contribution: Contribution to the overall sales targets by supporting successful deal closures.
- Revenue Growth: Increase in revenue generated from new and existing clients.
- Sales Cycle Efficiency: Time taken to close deals, with a focus on reducing the sales cycle while maintaining high-quality engagements.
- Sales Target Achievement: Percentage of sales quota or target achieved within a specific period.
- Time to Market: Speed and efficiency in delivering solutions and responding to RFPs.
Skill Set/ Experience we require:
- MBA or Post Graduation in rural management or social sector, preferably from a premier institution
- Graduation in IT/Computer Science/Data analytics/Statistics/Economics/Mathematics or related domain
- 5-8 years’ experience of working in social sector with good understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, grant management lifecycle and field operations of a non-profit organization
- Experience in pre-sales function in IT/Product/Tech4Good companies will be an added advantage
- Exposure to basics of software development lifecycle and data analysis tools like Power BI/Google Data Studio etc.
- Basic understanding of how software works (frontend, backend, API, database schema, etc.)
- Experience of working on off the shelf software solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
- Experience in delivering world-class product proposals and presentations
- Extensive experience in delivering product demonstrations with the ability to clearly and effectively present product features.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams like Enterprise Sales Leaders, Product teams, Customer Success teams, and external partners.
