Position: Senior HR Executive/ HR Business Partner– Research FacilityReporting to: Head of OperationsLocation: Vashi, Navi MumbaiJob Overview: We are looking for an experienced and adaptable HR professional to support our research-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have 5+years of progressive HR experience, preferably within academic, scientific, or research-focused institutions. You will be a key liaison between leadership and staff, helping to attract, retain, and support a highly specialized, multidisciplinary workforce while ensuring alignment with the facility’s mission and compliance requirementsQualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s in HR or relevant specialization is preferred. 5–7 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in research, academic, or scientific environment strongly preferred. Strong understanding of employment law, institutional compliance, and research staff lifecycle management. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with scientists, administrators, and external stakeholders. Familiarity with grant-funded employment and research project staffing is an advantage. Discretion, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset are essential. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with scientific and administrative leaders to understand staffing needs and implement effective talent acquisition strategies, especially for niche research and technical roles. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes tailored to researchers, fellows, and support staff. Manage performance management processes that reflect the unique goals and timelines of research work. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating workplace culture. Support employee engagement through recognition programs, training opportunities, and regular feedback mechanisms. Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with applicable labor laws, grant requirements, and institutional guidelines. Act as a trusted advisor on sensitive personnel matters including contracts, grievances, and conflict resolution. Partner with finance and grant administration to ensure accurate staffing plans and budget alignment for research projects.
