Description:The General Manager HR will lead the HR Business Partnering, HR Operations, and Talent Management functions.This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping organizational effectiveness, driving people strategy, and ensuring operational excellence.The position demands a blend of strategic thinking, change leadership, and strong execution capability.Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Alignment: Partner with business leadership to design and deliver people strategies that enable growth, competitiveness, and organizational transformation.- Organization Design & Workforce Planning: Lead structural design, workforce planning, and talent deployment to ensure agility and scalability.- Performance, Talent & Succession Management: Develop a robust performance management framework; build succession pipelines for critical roles; and establish structured leadership and capability development programs.- Culture, Engagement & Retention: Design and implement initiatives to strengthen employee experience, engagement, and retention across all levels.- Change Leadership: Drive change management programs that support smooth transitions during reorganizations, digital transformations, or business pivots.- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Champion inclusive practices, policies, and initiatives to build a diverse and equitable workplace.- Operational Excellence: Ensure efficiency and compliance in HR operations, policies, and systems, while delivering superior employee service.- Data-Driven HR: Use analytics, metrics, and insights to guide decision-making and measure the impact of HR interventions.- HR Technology: Oversee adoption and optimization of HR technology platforms to improve process effectiveness and employee experience.- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop HRBP, HR Operations, and Talent Management teams to deliver high performance and business impact.- Governance & Risk: Ensure adherence to labor laws, compliance requirements, and organizational governance standards.- External Benchmarking: Stay abreast of industry best practices, bringing innovation and thought leadership to enhance HR capability.Key Skills & Requirements:- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience encompassing both strategic and operational HR, preferably in a manufacturing setup.- Postgraduate degree in HR, Business Management, or equivalent preferred.- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business priorities into effective people strategies.- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills at senior leadership levels.- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in using data and HR metrics for decision-making.- High emotional intelligence and skill in managing sensitive and complex people issues.- Proven ability to lead large teams and develop high-performing HR talent.- Agile mindset capable of navigating ambiguity and driving change in dynamic environments.- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups.- Passion for building inclusive, future-ready workplaces and progressive HR practices (ref:iimjobs.com)
