Controls Pre-Sales Engineer – Building Automation

Location: India (Engineering Center / Remote Hybrid if applicable)

Join a leading team in building automation and smart infrastructure solutions. Support pre-sales engineering for global Building Automation System (BAS) projects from India, preparing technical assessments, cost estimations, and competitive bids across industries like commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, and pharmaceuticals.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead pre-sales engineering for BMS projects, following country-specific standards.
  • Review project inputs, MEP drawings, specifications, and SOPs; identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
  • Prepare technical assessments, RFIs, Bill of Materials, and cost estimations for competitive bids.
  • Design BAS network architecture and select hardware, software, sensors, controllers, dampers, and airflow devices.
  • Participate in project kick-off and review meetings; maintain compliance, deviation, and risk logs.
  • Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, and timely submissions.
  • Maintain timesheet compliance and adhere to standard processes.

Skills & Expertise Required:

  • BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems: Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAV, Hot Water systems.
  • Expertise in BMS architecture: Operator Workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators.
  • Familiarity with network protocols: BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, etc.
  • Proficient in wiring, field devices, safety interlocks, and panels.
  • Experience in engineering, installation, and commissioning of HVAC & BMS systems.
  • Knowledge of Automation systems (PLC programming/SCADA).
  • Quick learner, problem-solving mindset, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred:

Relevant experience in Building Automation Industry, BMS Design, or Automation Engineering.
