Area Sales Manager/Business Development Manager/Business Development Officer About the Role:Strand is seeking dynamic and motivated professionals to join our sales team as Area Sales Managers (ASM), Business Development Managers (BDM), or Business Development Officers (BDO) across key regions.The role will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, and executing regional go-to-market plans to meet and exceed business objectives.This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and plays a critical role in expanding Strands footprint in Reproductive Health, Molecular Diagnostics, and Genomic Testing.Key Responsibilities- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with company goals.- Identify and prioritize market opportunities to strengthen regional presence.- Establish and maintain MOUs and long-term partnerships with hospitals, laboratories, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).- Build and nurture strong relationships with clinicians, gynecologists, pediatric specialists, and healthcare administrators.- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute regional events, CMEs, workshops, and awareness campaigns.- Stay informed about Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Prenatal, and Pediatric Genetics developments.- Ensure end-to-end order management, from sample collection to report delivery, within defined timelines.- Serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.- Track opportunities, maintain accurate records, and provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates.- Travel up to 70% of the time to meet customers and manage territory responsibilities effectively.Required Skills & Bachelors or Masters degree in Science, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.- MBA (Marketing / Healthcare Management) 3 to 6 years of experience in Sales / Business Development within Healthcare, Diagnostics, or Molecular Biology sectors.- Exposure to Reproductive Health, Genetics, or Rare Diseases is an Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships.- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.- Proficiency in English and local language(s).- High willingness to travel (up to 70%) as part of the role (ref:iimjobs.com)
