We are seeking for Head of Business Development will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the company's plastic manufacturing services, with a strong focus on high-potential product groups and sectors including Consumer Electronics, Control Panels for Home Appliances, Automotive, Telecom/IT Hardware, Commercial, Medical Devices, Defence and etc.


The goal is to support the client in achieving its vision of reaching INR 1400 crore in revenue within the next 2 years and preparing for an IPO in the next 3 years.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Market Analysis


  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, particularly in Consumer Electronics, Control Panels for Home Appliances, Automotive, Telecom/IT Hardware, and other targeted sectors.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement business development strategies that align with company objectives and capitalize on market opportunities, including leveraging the Government's PLI scheme for growth in Consumer Electronics.


Business Development & Client Acquisition


  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and prioritize high-potential market segments and prospective clients.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients to drive business growth.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a consistent and robust pipeline.


Partnership & Collaboration


  • Networking: Establish and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and influencers to enhance market presence and expand business opportunities.
  • Strategic Alliances: Identify and develop strategic partnerships to enhance service offerings and market reach.


Product & Service Development


  • Customer Feedback: Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure products and services meet market demands and customer expectations.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation in product offerings, ensuring the company remains competitive and responsive to market changes.


Financial & Performance Management


  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Performance Metrics: Set, monitor, and analyze KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • IPO Preparation: Contribute to the preparation for an IPO by ensuring strong financial performance and growth metrics, enhancing the company's market value and attractiveness to investors.


Team Leadership & Development


  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing business development team.
  • Leadership: Provide direction, support, and motivation to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.


Regulatory & Compliance


  • Compliance: Ensure all business development activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in business development activities and implement strategies to mitigate them.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in business development or sales within the plastic manufacturing or EMS sectors, with a proven track record of achieving growth targets.
  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of the Automotive, Plastic, EMS industry and market dynamics.
  • Excellent strategic planning and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.
  • Knowledge of the PLI scheme and its impact on the Consumer Electronics sector.
