Job description:Key Responsibilities:Travel Operations Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the travel and tourism business.- Manage and optimize the use of GDS systems (e.g., Galileo) for bookings, ticketing, and itinerary planning.- Ensure high standards of service delivery that position the organization as a market leader.Supplier and Partnership Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with airlines, hotels, and non-air suppliers.- Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality service, and reliable support.- Develop and execute strategic deals and agreements to enhance the organizations market presence.Team Leadership and Lead, inspire, and manage a team of employees, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.- Delegate responsibilities effectively, supervise team performance, and provide training to enhance skills.- Act as a mentor and team leader, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.Process Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.- Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to streamline operations.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all aspects of service delivery.Performance Monitoring and Reporting- Conduct periodic reviews with management to evaluate performance against targets and strategic goals.- Utilize Excel and other tools to prepare detailed reports on KPIs, target vs. achievement metrics, and operational insights.- Present actionable recommendations to management based on data analysis and market trends.Customer Service Ensure the highest standards of customer service, addressing issues promptly and effectively.- Monitor feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary Leadership and team development.- Strategic thinking.- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.- Strong Communication and people management skills.- Aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.What were looking for:- Bachelors degree in Travels or related field (Masters degree preferred).- 8+ years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.- Strong leadership and team management abilities.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis, reporting, and operational tracking (ref:iimjobs.com)
