National Manager – Key Agency

Will be responsible to develop business from small individual retail agents (retail or Key Agency is defined as any intermediary giving business of Rs. 3.5 lakhs pm). He will be responsible for all aspects of the channel including the following:

  1. Create a program of acquisition, engagement, servicing, innovative processes, products for Key Agency or Retail intermediaries delivered through a dedicated team of Field Executives (FEs). These FEs report to a common reporting layer of BAHs, SAHs and ZAHs, who report into the National Agency Head.
  2. Influence the ZAH, SAH & BAH to achieve targets and execute the program. This requires substantial influencing skills of getting things done
  3. Develop and deliver a sustainable competitive advantage for this segment of partners, which is not pricing, or payout driven
  4. Meeting business objectives of marginal P&L including business growth, portfolio quality & and taking corrective measures as and when required.
  5. Laying down and ensuring adherence of end-to-end sales process which will attend to all types of service requirements of the key agency channels – related to policy servicing, claim handling, policy issuance etc.
  6. Activation of existing & new counters, identifying & implementing tools to engage and expand business of IMDs, handover & takeover processes related to IMD mapping with employees
  7. Regular engagement with existing channel partners including frequent meets, club memberships, reward & recognition, knowledge series, contests.
  8. Hiring, training, retaining people within the channel through the right culture, monitoring through tech tools, incentives, R&R, knowledge enhancement etc.


Specialized skills & qualifications

  • Highly Proficient in Communication and Interpersonal Skills required for relationship building, influencing and teamwork.
  • Should have at least 10 years+ professional experience in handling retail intermediaries
  • Understanding business portfolios from a P&L perspective


Qualifications And Experience: MBA/Graduate with at least 15 years of work experience in Sales & Marketing, out of which minimum 10 years of GI experience in handling Retail Agents of prominent GI companies.
