Job Description Position Title: National Accounts Director, Managed Markets Department: Market Access Reports To: Senior Director, Market Access Job Function Summary Overview: The National Accounts Director, Managed Markets is a field leadership role supporting market access strategy for the Sun family of branded businesses. The person in this role will lead all managed markets activities within assigned national and other relevant accounts which could include regional payors (commercial and Medicare), specialty pharmacies, PBMs, State Medicaid, Medical groups and other healthcare intermediaries. This role will support, influence and manage healthcare accounts managing and growing Suns $1B portfolio of Dermatology, Oncology, Immunology and Ophthalmology branded products. This role will provide market insights to brand teams and actively work collaboratively to develop market access strategies and support patient access programs. Additionally the role will support the Sun generic businesses to provide insights and leadership as needed. Job Scope The National Account Director is responsible for executing strategies to enhance and maintain optimal access for the Sun portfolio of brands in the payor space. This role will lead contract negotiations, present value propositions and provide insights to achieve strategic goals across all accounts in the assigned market. Responsibilities include: Incorporate knowledge of dynamic and complex marketplace and business trends to deliver maximum access to the portfolio of Sun products. Ensure all products are readily available and achieve targeted reimbursement and / or formulary position Deep and relevant experience with contract management, formulary verification and portfolio management Strong collaboration with Strategic Market Directors supporting activities with regional affiliates and other National Account Directors for establishing best practices Develop and execute innovative market access strategies as well as traditional strategies while assessing customer capabilities. Arrange for Senior management customer interactions as needed develop and execute Strategic Account Plans in cooperation with relevant functions (MSLs, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Pricing) Penetrate accounts to uncover business opportunities by developing solid professional relationships with key decision makers Conduct quarterly business reviews with key account personnel Establish strong relationships with Sales teams and provide on-going clear communication to ensure clarity of access positions and support pull-through efforts. Operate consistent with Healthcare Compliance guidelines Job Qualifications Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred. Experience: 3 years of account management experience or other Managed Markets experience is preferred. Experience working in channels such as large Payers, national and regional health plans, state and local governments, PBM's, SPP's and Physician Medical Groups. Prior experience with director and senior level health plan executives within the assigned geographical area preferred. Potential candidates must have a solid understanding of key public and private Payor policy infrastructure, payment methodologies, coverage, health policy trends and current business challenges. This position requires up to 75% travel domestically and candidate should reside in their assigned territory Additional Requirements · Proven teamwork and collaboration skills with a demonstrated track record leading highly matrixed, cross-functional work teams comprised of high-level managers and executives. · Analyzes and uses qualitative and quantitative data and incorporates understanding into decision criteria. · Able to effectively manage competing priorities with strong sense of urgency. · Able to act as an articulate advocate for the market access team · Creative / innovative thinker with an understanding of legal / regulatory environment. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrated ability to conceptualize issues and synthesize data to provide strategic direction · Acts as a role model for others in line with Sun’s values Disclaimer The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
