Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Cross-Functional Data Lead to oversee and coordinate data activities across multiple SAP modules. This role requires exceptional expertise in SAP data migration, leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of SAP functional domains. The successful candidate will drive data strategy, ensure data quality, and establish robust data governance frameworks across SAP implementations and integrations.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data management strategies for complex SAP environments.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.) to identify data requirements and dependencies.
  • Design detailed data migration and governance plans ensuring integrity and compliance.

End-to-End Data Migration:

  • Lead large-scale data migration projects, including ETL processes.
  • Manage data mapping, transformation, and validation activities for multiple SAP modules.
  • Leverage advanced SAP tools (SAP Data Services, LSMW, BODS, SLT) to ensure seamless migration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with business analysts, functional consultants, and technical teams to align data across SAP modules.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and address data concerns.
  • Maintain consistent data definitions and standards.

Data Quality & Governance:

  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation checks, and governance procedures.
  • Conduct audits and reconciliation processes to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and governance best practices.

Leadership & Project Management:

  • Mentor a team of data analysts and specialists on complex data tasks.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and challenges.
  • Lead UAT efforts, coordinate test case development, and document outcomes.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

  • 10+ years in SAP data migration, integration, or management roles.
  • Proven track record in 3-5 full-cycle SAP implementations, including S/4HANA projects.
  • Expertise in SAP data tools (SAP Data Services, LSMW, BODS) and ETL processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, WM) and cross-functional integration.
  • Experience with SAP cloud tools (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP data structures, data mapping, SQL, and ETL tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and leadership abilities.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • SAP certifications in relevant modules (FI, MM, SD, S/4HANA).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications.
  • Data management certifications (CDMP).
