Job Description:

Product Head: Agri Commodities (Rice, Soyabeans & Sesame Seeds) specializing in Import and Export. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth in agricultural products like Cotton, Rice, Soyabeans & Sesame Seeds in international markets. You will be tasked with managing the sales, import and export processes, fostering relationships with international clients and suppliers, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods across borders. Your role will involve a combination of sales, market analysis, and logistical coordination to maximize profitability and market share in the agricultural sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive sales strategies for agricultural products, considering both domestic and international markets. Identify key target markets and develop plans to penetrate and expand market presence.

 

2.      Import and Export Management: Oversee all aspects of the import and export process, including documentation, customs clearance, logistics, and compliance with international trade regulations. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.

 

3.      Market Analysis and Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for growth. Monitor global market dynamics, currency fluctuations, and trade policies to anticipate changes that may impact import and export activities.

 

4.      Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and suppliers. Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and preferences, and tailor offerings to meet their requirements.

 

5.      Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate sales agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with international clients and suppliers. Ensure that contracts are executed accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

 

6.      Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop KPIs and metrics to track sales performance, profitability, and market share. Generate regular reports to management detailing sales activities, achievements, and areas for improvement.

 

7.      Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment of goals and objectives. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance overall efficiency.

 

Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MBA IIFT, International Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

·        Minimum three (3) years experience in agricultural sales, import/export management, or international trade, preferably in a managerial capacity.

·        Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics operations.

·        Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·        Proficiency in foreign languages may be advantageous, depending on the target markets.

·        Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make strategic decisions.

·        Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software.

·        Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
