Role Description

The IT Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and managing our technology infrastructure to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This role requires a hands-on professional who is passionate about IT systems, security, and delivering innovative solutions to support our dynamic team. You’ll work closely with the IT Manager to maintain high service standards across the organization. 


Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Maintain and optimize servers, networks, and storage solutions to ensure high availability and performance.

Technical Support:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolutions.

Network Security:

  • Implement and monitor network security protocols to safeguard organizational data integrity and confidentiality.

System Maintenance:

  • Manage regular software updates, system patches, backups, and device configurations for all IT assets.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the IT Manager to deploy new tools, technologies, and innovations aligning with Zype's goals.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance schedules.

Asset Management:

  • Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring efficient deployment of equipment and software


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in IT engineering or a similar role, with hands-on expertise in managing networked systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and firewall management.

• Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, virtualization, and remote access technologies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
