Job Title: Assistant Pastry Chef Instructor


Job Summary:

The Assistant Pastry Chef Instructor plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality culinary education and training to students enrolled in our Diploma program and various short-term courses. This position requires a skilled pastry chef with a passion for teaching and guiding aspiring culinary professionals. The incumbent will also contribute to Boganvila production, maintain kitchen hygiene standards, assist in inventory management, participate in new product development, and collaborate in photo and video shoots for promotional activities.


Responsibilities:

Conduct Classes: Delivering classes for the Diploma program and Short term course, ensuring effective transmission of pastry-making techniques and culinary knowledge.

Boganvila Production: Contribute to Boganvila production, maintaining consistency and quality in pastry items.

Class and Production Indents: Prepare and submit indents for classes and production, ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.

Inventory Management: Manage inventory for all kitchens, including equipment, tools, and ingredients, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient utilization.

Hygiene Standards: Enforce and maintain high standards of hygiene in all kitchen areas, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.

New Product Development: Collaborate with the culinary team in developing new pastry products, experimenting with recipes, and refining techniques.

Photo and Video Shoots: Participate in photo and video shoots for promotional materials, showcasing culinary creations and contributing to marketing efforts.

Report Submission: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required, documenting activities, achievements, and any issues encountered.


Qualifications:

·        3-4 years experience

·        Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field.

·        Additional certifications in pastry arts or teaching/training are advantageous.

·        Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a strong understanding of pastry techniques and recipes.

·        Teaching or mentoring experience in a culinary setting is preferred.

·        Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

·        Knowledge of inventory management and kitchen hygiene standards.

·        Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in pastry-making.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
